Two killed, several injured in Dutch town shooting

Two people are dead and several others have been injured in a shooting in a southern Dutch town.

A police helicopter and special intervention units are searching for the shooter in Oosterhout.

Shots were fired at two locations in the town around 4pm local time on Friday (Saturday AEDT), police said. They said the shooter’s motive was unclear.

Witnesses reported a heavy police presence, with many officers wearing bullet proof vests.

Two cars collided at the scene, with visible bullet holes in one vehicle and bloodstains on the driver’s door, according to broadcaster Omroep Brabant.
