Starbucks is getting a jump on the summertime vibes with its next seasonal menu on the horizon.
The coffee chain announced in a statement that it will release its full summer menu in May, and revealed a sneak peek into a few food and beverage items that will feature on the lineup.
A standout drink is the new Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso. Though the release did not include an official description of the drinks, a traditional Horchata is a Mexican drink that typically includes rice, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.
The new menu also brings back the Summer-Berry Refreshers — the Summer-Berry Lemonade Refresher and Summer Skies Drink — that were first released last May.
As described by PEOPLE, the refreshing beverages are sweet blends of raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry flavors made with boba and raspberry-flavored pearls.
The announcement also confirmed that a Strawberry & Cream Cake Pop will be added to the colorful menu. According to an alleged Starbucks employee on Reddit, the treat will be a “strawberry cake with buttercream.”
This is just one of Starbucks’ most recent announcements amid the coffee chain’s many corporate changes as part of chairman and CEO Brian Niccol’s “Back to Starbucks” strategy that was outlined in 2024.
Just this week, the company revealed a plan to give its employees a more uniform look with a new dress code.
On April 14, Starbucks announced that starting May 12, retail employees will be required to wear solid black shirts with the option of jeans, khaki pants, or black pants for bottoms, along with the signature green apron.
The release also noted that Starbucks would be rolling out a line of branded shirts for employees to “deliver a more consistent coffeehouse experience” across all Starbucks locations.
According to a report by USA Today, Starbucks previously updated its dress code in 2016 to allow employees to have “unnatural hair colors” and additional clothing colors beyond just black and white. Prior to these updates, employees were set to a black or white top with khaki pants and the signature green apron. When the dress code was updated, the company added charcoal, gray, navy, and brown to the uniform palette, along with leather, denim, and wool materials.
