South Australian Police have launched an investigation after unregistered bones were discovered in a regional cemetery.
Police were alerted after the bones discovered at Kadina Cemetery did not match burial records on Monday.

“The bones will be examined by a forensic anthropologist, and it will take some time for forensic results to be available,” a SA Police spokesman said.
“Further information will be provided once more details are known.”
The Kadina Cemetery is a heritage-listed cemetery about 150km northwest of Adelaide, on the Yorke Peninsula.
The District Council of the Copper Coast, which operates the cemetery, has been contacted.
