Alex Pearce will become just the fourth man to lead Fremantle for three consecutive seasons, with the defender again entrusted with the Dockers captaincy.
It comes as Freo backed in their leadership group from last season despite their finals miss, with rising forward Josh Treacy’s addition the sole change from 2024.
Caleb Serong and Andrew Brayshaw remain vice-captains, with Treacy joining Hayden Young, Sam Switkowski and Jaeger O’Meara in the leadership group.
As he enters his third season as skipper, Pearce joins elite company at the club. Only Peter Bell (2002-06), Matthew Pavlich (2007-15) and Nat Fyfe (2017-22) have served for longer as Freo captain.
“Alex’s leadership continues to grow and his values, work ethic and ability to inspire his teammates shows why he should continue to lead our club,” Dockers football manager Joe Brierty said.

“Alex embodies our trademark and the respect he commands among his peers and the coaching group was once again reflected in the voting process.
“In addition to Alex, it’s great to see his deputies Andy and Caleb continue to grow as leaders and be acknowledged by their peers for the dedication and commitment they display in all aspects of their football.”
