If you have purchased sparkling water from Trader Joe’s in the past few months, it’s important to check the label.
Trader Joe’s has recalled more than 60,000 bottles of Gerolsteiner Sparkling Natural Mineral Water for the potential hazard of cracking or breaking. At this time, no customer reports of injury or damaged bottles have been reported.
Bottles were sold at Trader Joe’s stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas from December 2024 through January 2025.
The U.S, Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that the recall includes two specific lots of the 750-milliliter sparkling water bottles.
“There is a white, blue and red label on the front of the bottle with the name ‘Gerolsteiner’,” the report states. “The lot number is located on the lower part of the label. Affected bottles have a lot number 11/28/2024 L or 11/27/2024 L.”
Trader Joe’s urges any customers with these bottles to not use them, dispose of them carefully, and “go to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.”
