4 taken to hospital after Oshawa house fire

Four people have been rushed to hospital after a house fire in Oshawa.

Oshawa Fire crews responded to calls about a fire at 70 McGrigor Street at around 8:08 a.m., Wednesday morning.

They arrived within minutes, encountering heavy fire and smoke.

“Four victims have been transported to the hospital and the extent of their injuries has not been confirmed at this time,” Oshawa Fire said in a release.

Crews remain on scene fighting the blaze.

Centre Street South has been closed at John Street.

Durham police will be providing an update shortly.
